"PLATJA GRAN" BEACH

THE GARBI BEACH
Located in the hotel area, the beach is delimitated by a beautiful promenade of the same name. It has been awarded the ICTE Quality Q award in 2004 and is a European Blue Flag Beach every year since 1994. The beach is synonymous with clean water and quality services available to everyone, ideal for children and families. There are 2 beach soccer fields, 9 beach volleyball courts and water sports fans can enjoy the activities organized every summer in the sea by the Water Sports Centre and the Maraventura Sports Park.

"LES ROQUES" BEACH
Located to the south-west of the town and close to the Calella lighthouse and the antic communication towers, the “Les Roques” beach is a natural coved beach with beautiful transparent waters surrounded by pines and cliffs. Its total length is 750 m and it is 25 m wide. In addition to its beautiful scenic interest, the beach also has a restaurant, an official climbing wall, showers and also it has a naturist area. It is a quiet beach, ideal for relaxing.

PASSEIG DE MANUEL PUIGVERT
The promenade was built in 1927 and is named after the mayor who initiated the construction project, Manuel Puigvert “Soques”. The inauguration of the promenade took place at the same time as the inauguration of the indoor market, and at the time of the reformation of the lighthouse. This beautiful promenade runs along the main “Gran” beach of Calella, very close to the city centre. It is an emblematic and pleasant place for strolling and very popular with the citizens of Calella for walking and exercising.

IRONMAN CIRCUIT

Swimming
A 3.8 km (2.4 mile) swim in the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea that begins and ends at the beach of Calella. The athletes will first swim far from the beach and then turn back to the shore with two turns to the right.
Cycling
A two-lap bike ride to complete 180.2 km (112 miles) takes athletes along the impressive coastline between Calella and Montgat.
Running
A three-lap route to complete 42.2 km (26.2 miles) from Calella along the coast via Santa Susanna and Pineda de Mar. The finish line at the Garbí Beach where everyone will be waiting for the athletes with open arms!

Swimming
The swimming circuit is a single 1.9 km lap that starts at the Calella beach where the athletes swim out in clockwise direction. They will come out of the water close to the starting point.
Cycling
The 90 km cycling circuit starts in Calella, continues along the coast before returning to the transition in Calella. The circuit offers fast, flat coastal roads where the best times will be served.
Running
The running circuit consists of two laps to complete 21.1 km. It starts at the Calella beach and follows the coast until the change to Pineda de Mar. The circuit, which is full of spectators, is a flat circuit with Mediterranean Sea on one side and the city of Calella on the other.
